So lately, I’ve been on an acoustic streak.  I will go to my Apple Music and just search acoustic covers and then I’ll listen to all of the playlists I can find.  So, in honor of all the amazing artists I’ve fallen in love with, I’ve decided to compile a list of my favorite covers or just acoustic versions of songs.

Jasmine Thompson – Rather Be

I heard the first 30 seconds of this cover, and immediately fell in love with it.  It just strips down the original and gives it a more intimate feeling.  From this song, I went to listen to more of Jasmine’s covers and originals, and all I can say is, you should definitely check her out.

Daniela Andrade – Latch

This stripped-down and beautiful cover was next on the playlist I found Jasmine on and I can honestly say, this song made me feel so warm inside for some reason.  Her voice is just so hypnotizing and makes me want to listen forever.  Anyway, this cover is just something you should listen to when you just need a calming pick-me-up.

Gabrielle Aplin – Please Don’t Say You Love Me

This song is heartbreaking when you pair it with the music video.  Actually, I’m just gonna let the video tell you everything I love about this song.

Diamond White – Lay Me Down

I have always been a Diamond White fan and this song is no exception.  It’s just so beautiful, and I’m so proud of how far she’s come since I first found her.  And the fact that she collaborated with Kurt Hugo Schneider just makes this song that much better.

Sofia Karlberg – Too Good at Goodbyes

The original to this song always gets me in my feels.  But, the female acoustic version of this by Sofia just makes me feel something even more.  It reminds me of all the sad things that have happened.  I reminds me of all the breakups, boyfriends and friends I no longer see or talk to.  And it also gives me hope because I know that it gets better, even if you can’t see it.  Something about this version just makes me so happy and hopeful.

So that was my list of my favorite acoustic covers right now.  Maybe I’ll add more to the list in the future, maybe it’ll grow exponentially and I’ll have to keep doing lists like this.  Anyway, go check out these songs and artists.  And, share your own favorites, I want to add to my list and that seems like a good way to do it.
